ReaVaya App
A great organization with an awesome transportation
system and service.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
How do I solve the hurdle of commuting with an awesome transporting system, ReaVaya?
Inspired by my own user experience of this system. In an age where the digital connection is essential to a better experience of an organization's services, having to rely on the possibility of not having missed the bus can take a toll on your day. There are many unpredictable conditions that can delay the bus. Why not have access to see how many minutes away is your the bus to your stop.
I have created an application in which it solves many of these challenges and can help each user commute with ease. Knowing that you can just check how far away and which bus is it you are waiting for will be a massive relief to the use.
KEY GOAL
Develop insights from research and create an application to solve the challenges.

USER SURVEY
For my research process, I decided to send out a survey to allow a better insight into what the user needs. Surveys are a great insightful way to the customer's environment because they are able to provide quantitative data
I survey 12 people who use the transportation system frequently to daily.

Competitor
Analysis
To design a pleasant experience, I took a closer look at the competitors and their design approach. I desired to learn from certain features that they had of which I missed from my research.

Style Guide
I wanted the app's main focus to remain the highest priority on the list, therefore, the design is rather minimal. To make the work easier and more organized as well, hence the style guide.

Product design
Designing this product, I have created a persona, and its priorities, a user story, and a user flow to understand how the users navigate and behave.
Below you will find a simplified breakdown and map of the user and their actions.
Understanding
Our User
Thabang is a daily user of ReaVaya and he commutes to work on a day-to-day basis. He also uses it to visit friends and family every second weekend. He constantly needs to know that he has a positive balance on his card. When he travels with a friend, he likes to share his points to help them be able to take the bus home. He also enjoys scheduling his trips ahead of time so he does not miss
his bus.
